Thames Leisure – safety on the river

In light of the recent events in Manchester, a number of precautions are being made by the authorities in London to ensure the safety of its residents and tourists alike. If you’re local, you may notice an increased number of police personnel on the streets, in particular, around popular tourist attractions and safety on the river.

The team at Thames Leisure want to reassure anyone who has booked a charter for their event, and those considering talking to us in the near future, of the specific procedures that the company has in place to ensure a consistently high level of safety to our customers.

How do we do this?

By being in constant communication with pier masters, the Port of London Authority the Maritime Coastguard Authority, London River Services and the police, receiving updates in real-time so that we can work as efficiently and quickly as possible in all situations.

By placing mandatory specialist security personnel on all events aboard our largest vessel, the Dutch Master, as well as trained personnel on other event bookings.

By ensuring all staff at all levels are communicated to about the current situation and how we can best support the police, the public and our clients in all our actions as a responsible company.

If you are at all concerned or have any questions at all regarding safety aboard a Thames Leisure vessel, please do give us a call on 0207 6231805 where a member of our team will be more than happy to help.
